What to Expect

What happens during a Jurassic Petting Zoo experience?

Kids become Jr. Rangers and rotate through multiple zones: meeting our animatronic dinosaurs (baby puppets, a walking robot Triceratops, and an 8-foot T-Rex), digging for fossils at the excavation station, taking AI-enhanced photos, and learning dinosaur facts from our trained Rangers. It's part petting zoo, part museum, part adventure—designed to create memories that last all year.

How long does the experience last?

Basic packages run 30-45 minutes for birthday parties and 30-45 minutes per rotation for schools. Premium packages extend to 45-60 minutes and include additional activities like the volcano eruption and "Feed the Dinosaur" inflatable game. Every child gets hands-on time with the dinosaurs—no one just watches from the sidelines.

What dinosaurs will I see?

Our roster includes life-sized baby dinosaur puppets that kids can pet, a walking robot Triceratops (with safety kill switch), and an 8-foot tall T-Rex costume operated by a trained Ranger. We also feature a Brachiosaurus that requires two Rangers to operate. Kids also see real fossils, dinosaur eggs, bones, and skulls at the props table.

Can I actually pet the dinosaurs?

Yes! This is what makes us different from shows or museums. Our baby dinosaur puppets are specifically designed for gentle touching. Kids pet them, stroke their skin, and feel the textured scales—under Ranger supervision with clear safety guidelines.

Are the dinosaurs scary for young children?

Our Rangers give age-appropriate introductions and watch each child's comfort level. Most 2-6 year olds are more fascinated than scared. We use the Jr. Ranger Program to build confidence before meeting the big dinosaurs, and every child can go at their own pace.

How realistic are the animatronic dinosaurs?

Museum-grade realistic. Our animatronics feature lifelike skin textures, movement patterns, and sounds based on paleontological research. The robot Triceratops walks independently, and our 8-foot T-Rex moves with theatrical precision. Kids (and parents) are genuinely amazed.

Do you bring all the dinosaurs to every event?

Yes! Our full roster comes to every event. You'll see baby dinosaur puppets, the robot Triceratops, the T-Rex character, and our Brachiosaurus. Every event gets the complete experience—we never cut corners.

Are the sounds loud or scary?

Kid-friendly volume! Our sound effects are designed to be impressive without being startling. Rangers control audio levels and can adjust for sensitive kids. The experience is exciting, not overwhelming.

What is the fossil dig station?

Kids excavate replica fossils from sand using real paleontology tools. They brush away sand, discover bones, and learn excavation techniques. Best part: they keep what they find! It's hands-on STEM learning that feels like treasure hunting.

What is the Jr. Ranger Program?

Kids become official Jr. Rangers by learning dinosaur facts, practicing respectful interaction, and taking the Ranger Oath. They earn a Jr. Ranger badge to take home. It transforms kids from spectators into participants—they're part of the crew, not just the audience.

What other activities are included?

Every package includes the AI photo station (parents get free digital downloads), props table with real fossils and skulls, and dinosaur interaction zones. Premium adds the "Feed the Dinosaur" inflatable game, volcano eruption demonstration, and extended activity time.

Do kids get to keep anything?

Yes! Kids take home AI-enhanced photos with the dinosaurs and their Jr. Ranger Program sticker badge. They also keep any fossils they discover at the dig station. Real keepsakes from a real adventure.
